Popular New York cafe Bagatelle and French jewelry firm Mauboussin have teamed up to create the world's most expensive ice cream and fruit dessert.
The $1000 entree, dubbed Mauboussin Mega Sundae, features vanilla ice cream, chocolate truffles, French macaroons, gold-foiled sherbet from premium champagne maker Dom Pérignon, chocolate vodka sauce, golden chocolate brownies and fresh whipped cream. And we only talked about the edible part of the amazing dessert!
We are willing to bet that even those who have not yet salivated will not resist when they find out that the Mauboussin ring made of black steel and white gold is served at the table along with ice cream. The ring is part of the Moi Non Plus/Toi Non Plus collection, which also includes several elegant bracelets in black and white steel.
Surprisingly, Bagatelle and Mauboussin are not pioneers in creating absurdly expensive desserts. So, in 2007, New York-based Serendipity 3, together with Euphoria, created a chocolate splendor called Frrrozen Haute Chocolate, which cost $ 25 per serving and included, in addition to the dessert itself, a gold goblet, to the base of which was attached an 18-carat gold bracelet with white diamonds with a total weight of 1 carat, as well as a gold dessert spoon studded with white and brown diamonds.
