1. The assassination of the Russian ambassador, who was the famous A.S. Griboyedov. The writer died at the hands of the aggressive people of Persia, who burst into the building. It is generally accepted that the diamond was the main symbol of the crown and government, and therefore was of great value. Therefore, it was his Persia that decided to present to Russia, fearing a response and the start of a new war.
2. Demanding unbearable payments. Having concluded a peace treaty, the losing side pledged not only to punish those responsible for the death of the ambassador, but also to give the winner a serious sum. For Persia, such a payment turned out to be too great: they could not collect the required amount of money. Thus, the ruler wanted to reduce the amount required.

This gift saved Persia from the threat from Russia. Nicholas I forgave their debt and the death of Griboyedov. This event caused the emergence of new legends, as well as the alleged magical properties.
