First Look at Chanel Couture Jewelry

Jewelery and bijouterie

In fact, Chanel's Métiers d'art line cannot be called one hundred percent couture, rather it is a symbiosis of high fashion (today almost disappeared due to its unprofitability) and outfits that can find a place in a more casual wardrobe.

This year, the show took place in the former residence of Catherine de Medici, the Chenonceau castle. And only one guest was invited to it - the actress and brand ambassador Kristen Stewart. In a beautiful video, she enjoys the show all alone in the luxurious interiors of the castle. Which, of course, still looks unusual, but, alas, the pandemic dictates its own terms.

One of the most interesting parts of Métiers d'art shows is jewelry. Here, designers usually use all their imaginations, as did the current creative director of Chanel, Virginie Viard. The collection of jewelry turned out to be quite straightforward and clean. Chain belts decorated with stones and beads (the future super trend of the season), long earrings with rhinestone fringes, square quilted studs, accent gold bracelets and head hoops with decorative pendants resembling either elements of a kokoshnik or Indian jewelry. Everything shines and sparkles! The perfect inspiration for your New Year's look.
