Just think, but from 1970 to 1983 the number of Swiss watch houses decreased by exactly half, two-thirds of the employees from the surviving companies were laid off, and Switzerland itself ceased to be the "watch Eden" of Planet Earth. And it was at this time that Raymond Weil opened an enterprise for the production of mechanical watches. Switzerland coped with the "quartz crisis". And Raymond Weil showed a fresh look at mechanical watches.

The Maestro watch is made of steel and measures 39,5mm in diameter. Case thickness - 9mm. By modern standards, when watch sizes tend to be XL, this is a very elegant men's model.

The black Roman numerals are perfectly readable on the silver dial, protected by an anti-reflective sapphire crystal.

The watch has a self-winding mechanism inside. The transparent back cover allows you to observe its perfect work.

Those who like to explore the depths of the sea are unlikely to need this watch - the level of water protection does not have this at all (up to 50 meters). And why swim in them? After all, the watch is simply made for a strict suit and a perfectly white shirt!

Raymond Weil, the founder of the brand, passed away on January 26, 2014. He was 87 years old.
