Delma Cayman Field. Military novelty

Wrist Watch

The attention of lovers of military-style watches will surely be attracted by the novelty from the Delma brand. This watch is part of the Cayman series that debuted in 2019. The first model in the collection used the retro design of the 1970s and was distinguished by a solid water resistance to 500 meters. In 2020, the Cayman Worldtimer watch for travelers appeared in the series, and now the military model has also appeared.

A distinctive feature of the Delma Cayman Field is an additional red hour scale in the center of the matt black dial - for a segment of the day starting at 13 o'clock. This design is typical for models whose owners have special requirements for the information content of the dial.

The watch is presented in two versions - with an automatic movement Sellita SW200 with a 38-hour energy reserve and with a quartz caliber ETA F06.111. In both cases, the brand relied on the "workhorses" of the Swiss watch industry, which have proven their reliability and are used by many eminent brands.

Despite not being marketed as a deep diving watch, the Delma Cayman Field is water-resistant to 500 meters in an automatic version. For quartz, the indicator is 200 meters. The two variants also have a different case height: 13,3 mm for the "automatic" and more restrained 11 mm for practical quartz.

The case is complemented by a bidirectional rotating bezel made of black anodized aluminum. The scale printed on it glows in the dark thanks to the SuperLuminova composition. The same phosphor is used for markers and arrows.

Despite the serious technical characteristics that allow the Delma Cayman Field watch to be ranked among the models ready for military missions in various conditions, the brand's designers have thought about a variety of options. A watch on a durable textile strap is suitable for overland operations, a watch on a black rubber strap is suitable for use in the navy, and a flexible steel Milanese bracelet is intended for those who decide to wear the watch as an urban accessory.
