Grand Seiko for the anniversary of the iconic 44GS

Wrist Watch
Grand Seiko is famous for its dials, but the brand's "sunburst" pattern is rare (although such models are in the collection, for example, the Grand Seiko Sport Collection Quartz GMT SBGN023). It is all the more interesting to look at how the light falls from different angles on the dial of the new Grand Seiko Heritage Collection 44GS 55th Anniversary Limited Edition.

The watchmakers of the Japanese brand traditionally drew the idea from the nature of the Land of the Rising Sun: a similar impression is produced by the illumination of the Shinshu Mountains by the moon, which can be seen from the watch studio where this and other Grand Seiko Spring Drive watches are created. The duo of blue and silver is broken only by the central gold second hand and the GS logo.

The novelty is dedicated to the 55th anniversary of the 44GS, a model whose style is determined by 9 principles. Incarnated in 1967, they continue to work perfectly today. All the secrets of the 44GS were revealed in a video that was released the other day (a close-up shot is a great opportunity to see all the features of the model).

The watch is equipped with a manually wound Spring Drive caliber 9R31. The movement uses a drum with two mainsprings, providing a power reserve of 72 hours. The diameter of the steel case is 40 mm. The watch is produced in a limited series of 1500 pieces. The backs of each are engraved with their individual number and the words Limited Edition.
