Octo Roma Naturalia x Wang Yan Cheng watch by Bvlgari

Wrist Watch
Last year, Bvlgari presented Octo Roma Naturalia models with dials made of natural stone (at the choice of the future owner). To make it easier to inspire the idea, basic models were released that used black onyx, lapis lazuli and malachite. This year, Octo Roma Naturalia remains a platform for artistic experiments. This time, 8 paintings by the artist Wang Yang Chen were reproduced on black onyx plates. Each piece in the Octo Roma Naturalia x Wang Yan Cheng series is unique. Wang Yan Cheng, born in the Chinese province of Guangdong in 1960, has lived between China and France since 1989. In 2008, the French government awarded him the title of Chevalier of Arts and Letters, and in 2010, his exhibition graced the French Pavilion at the World Expo in Shanghai. The artist is considered the leader of the lyrical abstraction movement.

The creations of the abstract artist are framed by the Octo Roma 44 mm case made of black titanium and the side part made of onyx.

When transferring the paintings to the watch, the curves of the BVL 206 caliber were taken into account. The use of this particular caliber allows the dial to be used as a canvas for self-expression. Its main components are assembled in the center, and the flying tourbillon without a top bridge is set at the 6 o'clock position. Thus, most of the space remains free.
