Raymond Weil for fans of The Beatles and watch mechanics

Wrist Watch

Renowned for its dedication to iconic musicians, Raymond Weil has unveiled its fourth model in honor of the Liverpool quartet. Although the model was presented in the summer, and not on January 16, recognized by UNESCO as World Beatles Day, it did not become less interesting.

For Raymond Weil, the fascination with the legendary band began in 2016 with the premiere of Maestro The Beatles Limited Edition Help, released in the year of the brand's 40th anniversary. The designers divided the hour scale into zones with the names of 13 albums of the group, and at 4 o'clock they marked the image of the musicians from the famous cover of the fifth studio album Help !, released in 1965.

A year later, a limited edition of 3000 copies was released, bearing the name of the album Abbey Road. The dial resembled a vinyl record on which the band members walked (just like in the famous photo on the "zebra").

In 2019, Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band followed. On the cover of the record after which this watch was named, the musicians stood next to their "counterparts" from Madame Tussauds against the background of cardboard figures of other stars. And in the foreground was a drum, the inscription from which was transferred to the dial.

This year's model, the Maestro The Beatles Limited Edition Let It Be, has inherited a number of features from its predecessors. Its release is also limited to 3000 pieces, and the case is complemented by a vegan leather strap (like Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band). The surface of the belt looks like nubuck, but the resemblance is deceiving - these are plant materials certified by the international Forest Stewardship Council FSC.

Otherwise, this model has its own character. There are certainly references to the connection with The Beatles in the design (the marker at 4 o'clock symbolizes the four members of the band, the band's logo is placed on the dial and transparent case back), but this model attracts others' attention.

A large aperture on an anthracite dial with rose gold PVD-coated PVD-coated indexes allows you to watch the mesmerizing operation of the automatic movement with a 38-hour power reserve. The shape of the window, according to the designers, repeats the outlines of Great Britain - the homeland of The Beatles with Liverpool in the center. The watch case with a diameter of 40 mm is made of steel.
