Seiko is expanding the Presage collection with a pair of new automatic models featuring exquisite Arita porcelain dials, handcrafted by renowned Japanese luthier Hiroyuki Hashiguchi and his team.
This time around, the production of the 1mm thick dials challenged the "limitations of traditional Arita porcelain manufacturing processes" and required "extensive research and development to achieve the durability and strength required by a wristwatch."
Two versions of the new pieces are available with pure white or soft azure dials created using the traditional "ruri zome" dyeing technique.
