SEIKO has announced an updated Prospex Save the Ocean diving watch series inspired by the company's heritage and embodied in shades of glacier (glacial) ice. With a navy blue dial, this piece pays homage to Seiko's first diver's watch from 1965.
The bluish dial version is a modern interpretation of the 1968 watch, which was the brand's first watch with a water resistance of 300 meters. The white-dial version is housed in the signature case of the 1970 model worn by Naomi Uemura on his solo dog sled journey from Greenland to Alaska.
The novelties are equipped with caliber 6R35 with a power reserve of 70 hours, are water resistant to 200 meters and presented on steel bracelets.
The expected start of sales is June 2022.
