Against the backdrop of the abundance of shades that have appeared in the DEFY collection lately, the new Zenith DEFY Revival Shadow model stands apart from its colleagues in the series. Designed for Zenith by Gay Frères in 1969, the watch on the famous ladder bracelet is now available in micro-blasted titanium.
The case size is 37 mm, a historical diameter that is coming back into fashion today.
Prototypes in a dark palette appeared in the Zenith collections in the 1970s, but such watches were produced in very small batches, which makes the novelty of 2023 especially valuable for collectors.
Starting with the 3642 A1969, the faceted case and 14-cut bezel DEFY collection used a mix of polished and satin finishes, but this is not the case with the DEFY Revival Shadow. The treated gray titanium literally extinguishes the rays of light on the surface, which looks very impressive.
The watch is equipped with an automatic caliber Elite 670 with a power reserve of 50 hours.
