The Swiss company Aviator continues to delight its fans with wristwatches, whose design is traditionally inspired by the world of aviation, and each collection is dedicated to different eras of the development of aeronautics. The brand’s accessories will rightfully become worthy tools for calculating and recording time both in the sky and on the ground, because their accuracy and reliability are tested by professional pilots in real flight conditions.
Aviator's Mig-35 collection is a tribute to the agility and speed of the latest multi-role fighter, the most modern representative of the MiG combat aircraft. Being an improved version of the MiG-29, the MiG-35 interceptor is characterized by increased efficiency and demonstrates the latest achievements of the aviation industry.
Another representative of the Mig-35 collection, which has similar characteristics, but is presented in a different design. Carbon, which occupies a leading role in the design of the model, was chosen for a reason. Composite material, consisting of interwoven threads of carbon fiber, is actively conquering the modern aircraft industry, and this is due not only to its high strength and lightness, but also to its special ability to hide a combat vehicle from enemy radars.
The Aviator Mig-35 M.2.19.6.144.4 chronograph is made in a steel case with rose gold plated and a carbon bezel. Carbon fiber is also used as the top layer of the leather strap. Large contrast markers are clearly visible, and the anti-reflective coating applied to the sapphire crystal allows you to comfortably use the watch even in clear weather. The quartz movement of the Ronda 5040 chronograph allows not only counting, but also measuring time with breaks, as well as intermediate finishes.
The Airacobra collection is dedicated to the legendary fighter of the Second World War, who proved himself to be an effective “fighter” who determined the outcome of many military operations. Aviator Airacobra P42 V.1.22.5.188.5 is an updated model presented by the Swiss brand this year.
Unlike its predecessors, the PVD-coated model’s case has shrunk from 45 to 42 millimeters and has a sapphire crystal with double anti-reflective coating, as well as a Ronda 519 quartz caliber with a “big date” indicator. The spacious classic dial features easy-to-read indexes of an unusual blue hue. The overall design of the new product is reminiscent of the style of retro models of the 40s. The back cover of the new product is decorated with 3D engraving.
Chronographs used by aviators during World War II were essential tools for keeping track of short periods during military operations when every second counted.
While the cases of the classic Airacobra models have undergone changes that affect the size of the cases, the chronographs in the collection have remained the same. The new Aviator Airacobra Chrono V.2.25.8.172.4 is dedicated to the famous American fighter Bell Airacobra P-39 and is made in rich shades of brown, giving the model a vintage note. The chronograph dial houses a telemetry and tachometer scale, as well as three small displays responsible for displaying chronograph readings.
The Swiss collection Aviator Douglas Day-Date was developed in honor of the classic airliner of world aviation - the American passenger aircraft Douglas DC-3. The elegant case of the Aviator Douglas Day-Date V.3.20.0.142.4 is made in a vintage style, characteristic of watchmaking products of the XNUMXth-XNUMXth centuries. The curved top window displays the day of the week, and the bottom window displays the current date.
The horizontal stripe in the center of the dial is a direct reference to the attitude indicator, an on-board gyroscopic device. The polished steel case is equipped with a black leather strap with contrast stitching, and inside is an automatic caliber with a power reserve of up to 38 hours. This year the collection has been replenished with new models with blue, brown, black and silver dials.
