Burdock oil strengthens hair roots, makes the beard thick and silky

Thanks to its rich composition of vitamins, microelements, tanning compounds, mineral salts, fatty amino acids and protein, burdock oil triggers metabolic processes in the follicles and supplies energy for enhanced growth of each hair.

To grow a beard, burdock oil is applied in the form of masks and compresses.

Burdock oil is divided into edible and non-edible. The second type for a beard should be purchased carefully, paying attention to a couple of points:

  • the bottle of oil should be darkened, because bright light reduces the quality of the product and, accordingly, its benefits;
  • The cap must be screwed tightly and have a protective ring, which is cut before first use.

You should use burdock oil for your beard once or twice a week. With more frequent use, a fatty product can increase skin oiliness, greasiness of hair, and clog pores.

For hair with high oil content, burdock oil can be used once a week.

To increase the effectiveness of burdock oil extract for beard growth, additional components will help, which, when applied in combination as part of masks, enhance each other’s effect. Before applying any mask, the skin can be steamed. Skin pores open, nutrients are better absorbed. Before rubbing the oil into the skin, it is necessary to warm it up to forty degrees; it is this temperature that makes it optimal for absorption into the epidermis and hair shaft.

Burdock oil with red pepper

An effective beard growth stimulator is a recipe with burdock oil and red pepper. The hotness of the pepper causes a rush of blood to the skin; the beneficial ingredients from burdock oil are quickly absorbed and absorbed by the follicles. In addition, the action of the active ingredients of pepper causes dormant follicles to wake up, and the beard becomes thicker. You cannot apply compositions with pepper to the skin with open lesions, as they will itch, and irritation will slow down the healing process.

Red pepper
An effective remedy for beard growth is a recipe with burdock oil and red pepper.

Recipes with red pepper:

  • prepare a mixture of burdock and castor oils (two tsp each) and a pinch of finely chopped red chili pepper. When using it for the first time, you need to take very little - on the tip of a knife; in subsequent uses, gradually increase the amount. Rub the finished mask into the roots of the beard hair, cover with plastic wrap and leave for half an hour. If the burning intensifies, the time can be shortened. Rinse off the product as usual. Carry out the procedure for forty days, once or twice a week;
  • mix burdock oil extract (half a glass) and one tsp. red pepper extract from the pharmacy. Massage into the skin of the chin and cheeks, where hair grows, and rinse after half an hour. Apply the mask also in a course of forty days at intervals of 3–7 days.

Recipes for compresses for beard growth with burdock oil:

  • The simplest but most effective way is to use burdock oil extract in its pure form. It is necessary to heat it in a water bath (half a glass), soak it well in a piece of gauze folded in three layers, and then apply it to the beard hair. Cover the top with plastic, cling film is perfect, leave for at least an hour, then rinse with warm water and shampoo. Such compresses can be carried out every other day, since oil is not applied to the skin; the course can be continued for a month and a half;
  • A compress with garlic and onion juices will help speed up hair growth, but their specific aroma is not suitable for everyone. You need to grind three garlic cloves and half a medium onion into a paste, add three tsp. burdock oil. Distribute the mixture over the skin of the chin and beard, cover with gauze and a towel. Mask with cognac

An excellent way to activate beard growth is a mask with the addition of cognac. Mix one tbsp. l. burdock oil extract with one tsp. cognac and five drops of vitamin E. Cognac increases blood flow in the skin of the chin, improving the absorption of beneficial ingredients of oils. Apply the mask once or twice a week, rubbing into the skin and distributing along the length of the beard hair. The total duration of the course to avoid addiction should be no more than two months.

Mustard mask

The warming effect of the mustard-burdock mask also activates beard growth. During its implementation, a burning sensation may be felt, its degree depends on the sensitivity of the skin. Sugar in the mask enhances the ability of mustard to burn the skin, so you should not overuse it, especially for the first time. So, the mask is prepared from three tbsp. l. warm burdock oil, two tbsp. l. mustard powder, half tsp. sugar (can be replaced with honey). Mix the ingredients thoroughly and rub into the skin of the chin. Leave to absorb for 30–40 minutes, rinse with shampoo. A tolerable burning sensation is normal, but if the pain intensifies, you should not endure it. Carry out procedures for a month and a half once a week.

Reviews on the use of burdock oil for beards

Hello! I’ll say right away that I haven’t used this product on my scalp. What else is it for, you ask?! For the beard! Things aren't going well with my beard. There are a lot of tools on the Internet for growing the much-desired beard. BUT! They are expensive. What's the point of them? If you can buy this wonderful remedy for pennies, mix it with castor oil 1 to 1 and apply this mass directly to the place where we want vegetation. I used this product for six months, during which time the result exceeded all my expectations. Thick, soft and all this is my beard after taking burdock oil. So guys, I advise you!

Hello to all bearded men. I'm 20 years old and growing a beard. I decided to use this drug because I am currently unable to purchase minoxidil. My problem areas are my neck (gap), cheeks (not growing at all), temples (little hair) and mustache (hair is mostly in the first and second stages). Does the effectiveness increase if applied to the roots of the hair? In such cases, do you need to shave your face completely down to stubble before using it? Using burdock oil is quite simple: 2 times a week (for example, Mon/Thurs) you make a mask, that is, you apply the oil to your face for a certain time and then wash it off. Now let's talk about everything in order. Firstly, as for the oil itself, not just any oil with pepper will give the desired effect. Some of them are just water, no sensation at all. The point here is that the more “vigorous” it is, the better. If we talk about the finished product, most of the bearded men I know, and I myself, agreed that oil with red pepper is best suited for these purposes. Now about the procedure itself. Apply the oil to a clean face. To enhance the effect, you can use: 1) Steaming your face before applying oil; 2) Wrap your face with cling film and a towel immediately after applying the oil. The first time it will burn very strongly, so don’t rush to immediately use all the ways to enhance the effect. In terms of time - the first time I didn’t dare sit for longer than 40 minutes - and so my whole face was red, like a crayfish. But then, when you get used to it, you can increase the time to two hours. Yes, and don’t forget to shake the bottle, because the pepper sometimes settles. To shave or not to shave - the most important thing is that the hair on your face allows you to completely cover it. Of course, a shaved face will be the easiest to apply, and the oil will last longer (although it’s cheap compared to minox). The course duration is on average 3 months. But you shouldn’t expect the same results from it as from Minox. Some people are happy with the result, others not so much. Everything is quite individual.

Regular use of burdock root oil extract helps to enhance beard hair growth, give it a well-groomed appearance, make it silky and shiny. By following easy-to-prepare recipes using available ingredients, you can achieve amazing results and the admiring glances of others.
