Human hands transform wood into the most precious works that conquer and delight the souls of people with their beauty. Miracles exist, the main thing is to be able to see them. Well, not everyone can create miracles. Today we will meet such a unique person - Joey Richardson - a wood artist.
Joey Richardson was born in 1964 and spent her childhood in the wilderness of Lincolnshire, England. Hence her love for wood, nature, fauna and flora.
Her unique sculptures are inspired by nature, life experiences and imagination drawn from her inner self. She works primarily with wood, but often uses cast glass, metal and photography in her creations.

Here are some interesting facts about Joey Richardson:
- The first wooden object Joey made was an oak stool.
- She won a woodturning competition despite cutting her finger in an accident.
- One of Joey's studios is a tree house.
The passion of her heart meets the talent of her hands, she personally cuts each individual piece on a lathe, finishing and sanding the pieces by hand.
Woodturning, one of our oldest and most traditional crafts, inspires Joey.
She also teaches and conducts workshops on wood turning, veneering, painting and texturing to inspire others.
Richardson has exhibited her work at major exhibitions in the UK and US, including the prestigious SOFA exhibition in New York and Chicago. She has won many medals and prizes for her beautiful woodturning.
