A new color for Chopard: the Alpine Eagle is available in two versions with a textured pine green dial. The watch is released in a steel case (or rather, in Lucent Steel A223 alloy, which is 50% harder than ordinary steel) and in “ethical” rose gold. Case diameter in any case is 41 mm.
The unusual texture of the sunburst dial is reminiscent of the iris of an eagle's eye. At the position "4 hours 30 minutes" there is a date indicator on a green background.
The case back reveals the Chopard 01.01-C movement with a 60-hour power reserve. The COSC chronometer-certified caliber is made in Chopard's Fleurier Ebauches workshops.
A portion of the proceeds from the sale of these models will go to the Alpine Eagle Foundation. The first project to his credit is the support of the Aigles du Léman (“Eagles of Leman”) nature reserve, which has allowed the return of the white-tailed eagle population to the Lake Geneva basin area. The foundation was established in 2019 by Chopard co-president Karl-Friedrich Scheufele, along with several professionals including falconer Jacques-Olivier Traver, founder of the Aigles du Léman park, and Ronald Menzel, director of Freedom, the bird of prey organization.
In addition, the Alpine Eagle collection has been expanded with models in a new 33mm case. Prior to this, the lineup included watches with a diameter of 36, 41 and 44 millimeters.
The watch is available in six versions, crafted from Chopard's exclusive Lucent Steel A223, ethical rose gold, or two materials, with dials in different tones inspired by the Alpine nature.
The steel and bi-metal versions are either set with or without diamonds, while the rose gold versions are set with diamonds only. The watch is equipped with the Chopard 09-01.C movement.
