Conor McGregor is one of the most famous, discussed and highly paid MMA fighters of our time, as well as one of those who, for the first time in the 25-year history of the UFS, managed to win two championship titles in different weight categories. The invincible Irishman, however, is famous not only for his sporting achievements, but also for his love of luxury.
Today we take a look at Conor McGregor's personal collection. And if he himself is called notorious on Instagram (from English “a person with a bad reputation”), then his collection can safely be called fabulous - incredible and amazing. All the models here are not random; they correspond to the style, character and lifestyle of the owner, one of the most stylish athletes of our time.
Instead of a pot of gold - gold Rolex and Patek Philippe
The well-built, stubborn and cocky Irish boy is not too far from the textbook image of an elf, ready to do anything for a pot of gold. But his rainbow leading to wealth was fighting in the ring, and instead of hiding gold, he shows it off with great pleasure.
The Rolex brand's signature crown logo echoes McGregor's tattoo - the crown on his neck is visible even above the collar of his T-shirts. But the gold watch doesn’t need to echo anything. The Rolex Oyster Perpetual Cosmograph Daytona, Yacht-Master II, Day-Date 40, Sky-Dweller and Sky-Dweller Eyerose gold speak for themselves. Joining them is the Patek Philippe Rose Gold Nautilus gentleman's watch, which combines gold with steel, just as the love of jewelry combines with the physical strength of an athlete.
From brutal Diesel bolts to expensive Audemars Piguet geometry
Conor McGregor's taste was obviously formed a long time ago, even before the advent of seven-figure fees. We can say that money did not change him, but only allowed him to express himself.
Large, angular Diesel Overflow DZ4297 with four bolts on the bezel and gold PVD coating clearly should belong to a person who is extremely confident in himself and is not inclined to hide in the shadows.
Who knows, maybe your next watch with a deliberately rough geometric bezel and bolts on it will be an Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore chronograph, as happened with Conor.
To the king of the ring - from the king of Breguet watchmakers
The Dublin native competes in the lightweight and featherweight divisions, but regularly adds watches from heavyweight brands to his collection, such as the already mentioned Rolex and Patek Philippe. Large, weighty and bright in the literal and figurative sense, all of them, however, are not able to outshine the laconic Breguet Classique.
McGregor was photographed wearing them for the cover of GQ Style magazine in the spring of 2017. The photo perfectly illustrates the laws of watch style: the leather watch strap echoes the jeans belt, the golden buckle with the case, and all this is ideally complemented by a leather jacket.
And again Rolex in Irish green
The star of mixed martial arts and martial arts does not actually forget national traditions, but most likely, they are in his blood. Guinness beer, singer Sinead O'Connor and the color green are what first comes to mind when you hear the word “Ireland”.
Surely this influenced the choice of watches; it’s not for nothing that in the photographs on McGregor’s account you can find both the Rolex Oyster Perpetual Day-Date 40 and the Rolex Oyster Perpetual Cosmograph Daytona – the first with a grassy dial, the second with an emerald green shining dial.
Diamonds and more diamonds
Although large stones were popularized as men's jewelry by representatives of show business, they still do not have exclusive rights to wear them. Diamonds are no longer the prerogative of women and artists, and the Audemars Piguet Offshore Chronograph and Franck Muller, encrusted with dozens of cut diamonds, prove this. Another axiom follows from the image of these two brands: modern sports legends know how to spend money wisely and choose accessories with taste.
