Mentions of the Continental brand can be found as early as 1881, but the brand has officially existed since 1924. In 1967 the company was renamed Economic Swiss Time Holding. The watch is delivered in a thick cardboard box with a tactilely pleasant texture. It, in turn, is in a shipping box. Packaging, of course, is not the main thing, but when the manufacturer pays attention to this, it’s always nice. Chassis
As for the case, it is worth paying special attention to the fact that it is made in the style of Gerald Genta, and, as mentioned above, refers us directly to two models from the pen of the master - Audemars Piguet Royal Oak and Patek Philippe Nautilus.
The slightly smoothed edges of the welt form an octagon that attracts all attention. The case has a complex angular geometry and does not have lugs in the traditional sense. The case itself is satin-finished, and only the edge of the bezel is mirror polished, which gives a special highlight to the model.

But the dial, in my opinion, is interesting for its color. Technically, it is blue (this is clearly visible when the dial is brightly lit). But as soon as he is outside the rays of the sun or under artificial lighting, he becomes dark. It seems even black. Perhaps this effect is facilitated by the texture of the dial. It feels like it's velvety rather than shiny. It does not reflect, but absorbs light.
At the slightly reduced 3 o'clock position there is a date window with a neat silver frame. The calendar disc is white, and it does not stand out from the general scheme, but, on the contrary, matches the markers. Applique markers replace hour markers and are filled with phosphor, which glows very brightly in the dark. The color of the glow is green, the phosphor itself is white, and, as mentioned above, it goes well with the calendar disc.
There is a minute marking. The dial below the 12 o'clock position features the Continental logo and the inscriptions "Sapphire" and "Swiss Made". The dial is interesting and eye-catching. The hour and minute hands are also filled with luminescent material, and the thin and graceful second hand does not distract attention from the stunning color of the dial.
Movement
The ETA F04.115 movement is a reliable, as they say in the watch world, “workhorse” that will work for a long time. The basic functionality is quite enough for an everyday sports watch, and the accuracy is always pleasing.
The ETA F04.115 mechanism has the following functions:
