Classic AVI novelties are dedicated to American fighters of World War II.
Inspirations include North American Aviation P-51 Mustang (Classic AVI Chronograph 42 P-51 Mustang on bracelet and strap in steel and red gold on bracelets or straps), Vought F4U Corsair (steel Classic AVI Chronograph 42 Tribute to Vought F4U Corsair on bracelet or strap) and Curtiss P-40 Warhawk (steel Classic AVI Chronograph 42 Curtiss Warhawk on bracelet or strap).
In addition, the Breitling Classic AVI Chronograph 42 Mosquito, a dedication to the de Havilland Mosquito wooden British bomber, appeared in the collection.
On the back covers you can see the silhouettes of aircraft. Classic AVI clock, originally based on the Ref. 765 AVI Co-Pilot from 1953, used the 2021 Super AVI design. But now the watches have become more restrained: their diameter is 42, not 46 mm (height - 14,7 mm). Inside - Breitling Caliber 23 (COSC certified, power reserve - 48 hours).
However, Breitling's other aviation innovations include the larger Super AVI Chronograph GMT 46 Mosquito Night Fighter in black ceramic, equipped with a Breitling Manufacture Caliber B04 with COSC certification and a power reserve of 70 hours. The diameter is kept serious here: 46 mm with a height of 15,9 mm.
In addition, there is a reissue of the historical model in the series. Based on a version of the AVI from 1964: a chronograph with an inverted panda dial. A total of 164 AVI Ref. 765 1964 Re-Edition with hand-wound Caliber B09 and 70 hours power reserve. The size of the steel case is 41 x 14,05 mm.
