The Belgian watch company Rodania has always been able to make excellent and reliable everyday watches, captivating with their affordable prices. But today I would like to focus attention not on the price, but on the color scheme of the dial, which allows the Rodania R18051 watch to look much more expensive than its real cost.
As soon as I saw this dial, I fell in love with the watch. Yes, I know that green has been very popular in the last few years, but I remained indifferent to it. In any case, until I met Rodania R18051.
When you look at the dial, you feel how addictive it is. It has depth and there is no limit to this depth.
History
The history of Rodania began back in 1930. Already in the mid-50s, Rodania regularly appeared at various racing competitions, and in the 60s, watches from the Belgian company visited Antarctica six times.
By the standards of the watch world, the brand appeared not so long ago, but its history is filled with a large number of achievements that both representatives of the brand and owners of Rodania watches can be proud of.

Chassis
There is an opinion that all dive watches are similar to each other, and also to the Rolex Submariner (to one degree or another). Rodania R18051 was no exception, but there are nuances that we will now touch on.
The case has slightly thickened “legs” (which make it look like a Rolex). And also the crown with the letter “R” on the right, which is protected by small “shoulders”. But on the left there is a small round protrusion, which is rarely found on cases of this type. The case is made of 316L steel with partial IP coating. The top of the case is satin-finished and the sides are mirror polished.
The classic diver's bezel with green aluminum insert matches the dial perfectly. The markings start from an inverted triangle with a phosphor dot and continue at five-minute intervals until “15 minutes”, then ten-minute marks. The bezel rotates with pleasant clicks and surprises with the absence of play, which is rare in this price segment.
The impressive water resistance comes with a screw-down case back, with a useful option in case the watch is given as a gift: the manufacturer has left space on the polished surface for a commemorative engraving. A trifle, but it might come in handy.
Bangle
Cast classic oyster bracelet with polished links in the center and satin-brushed edges. The ends of the bracelet are also mirror polished. As for the clasp, it is standard, stamped and laser engraved. For some, the clasp may be a minus, but you must admit that the watch is inexpensive and the manufacturer did not consider it necessary to make it more expensive.
Clock face
Let's move on to the main highlight of the watch, the dial. A very deep and rich color with a slight gradient from the center to the edge sparkles with many sun rays. Looks amazingly beautiful! At the three o'clock position there is a date with a nice border. There are three large applied numbers “12”, “6” and “9”. Between the numbers there are applied marks of complex shape. The numbers and markers are located in a small arena, above which the central part of the dial rises.
The internal welt with a five-minute marking and a minute scale fits very harmoniously.
The interestingly shaped watch hands are filled with phosphor. They go well with applied indexes. The second hand is quite simple, but stands out with a red tip.
The dial is protected by sapphire crystal.
Movement
Rodania R18051 is equipped with the reliable Ronda 515 quartz caliber with an accuracy of -10 +20 seconds per month.
Summary
The watch is beautiful and comes at a pretty reasonable price. The only shortcomings are the stamped clasp and laser engraving, which are compensated for by the green ocean of the dial. It instantly attracts attention, making you forget about all the nuances.
I liked the watch for several reasons:
• low price;
• excellent quality;
• the most beautiful green ocean spilled on the dial.
I drowned in this ocean and still, when I close my eyes, I see this green depth under the sun's rays!
