The first automatic chronograph by A. Lange & Sohne

Wrist Watch

A. Lange & Sohne presented its first automatic chronograph at an exhibition in Geneva. This is Odysseus Chronograph, a representative of the brand's sports collection, which debuted in 2019. Inside is the new Lange L156.1 Datomatic movement, which took 6 years to develop.

The novelty can measure periods of time up to 60 minutes and has a "dynamic reset to zero" function. When the reset button at 4 o'clock is pressed, the minute counter jumps back to its original position, the red second hand of the chronograph rolls back the entire distance traveled in a fraction of a second, making one complete revolution for each measured minute (such a rapid rotation is almost impossible to notice).

The watch is presented in a steel case with a diameter of 42,5 mm. Interestingly, the pushers are used for the chronograph when the crown is screwed down, while in the second position they are used to set the date and day of the week (time adjustment is made in the third position of the crown). The issue limit is 100 copies.
