Smithsonite

The color green has a magical effect on people!-3

A fairly common mineral of the carbonate class, zinc carbonate. It was named after James Smithson, a British mineralogist and chemist, founder of the Smithsonian Institution in the USA, who pointed out the differences between this mineral and hemimorphite. The green variety is sometimes called herrerite, and the blue-green variety is sometimes called bonamite.

Austinite [basic calcium and zinc arsenate, Ca,Zn(AsO4)(OH)] crystallizes in the orthorhombic system as yellowish-white or bright green, transparent or translucent, thin, elongated prisms or radial, fibrous aggregates and nodules. It has a Mohs hardness of 4,0-4,5, good cleavage in one direction, and a greasy to silky luster.

Wavellite is a mineral, hydrous aluminum phosphate, close to turquoise, variscite, and other minerals. The names are from the surnames of William Wavell and G.I. Fisher. Also known as lasionite, cefarovichite, garbortite. According to the Russian Biographical Dictionary, fisherite was discovered and described by I. R. German.

Cornwallite is a rare copper arsenate mineral with the formula Cu 5 (AsO 4 ) 2 (OH) 4. It is a mineral consisting of basic copper arsenate, resembling malachite.

It was first described in 1846 at Wheal Gorland, St. Day United Colliery, St. Day, Cornwall, England. The type locality of the mineral is its namesake, in the Wheal Gorland mines of St. Day United in Cornwall, England.

Named after the Greek words "konis", meaning "powder", and "chalkos", meaning "copper", in reference to the copper in the composition and its occasional appearance as a powdery crust.

Relatively rare but widespread, conichalcite can be found in many minor specimens, however good examples can be found in locations in Spain, England, USA, Mexico, Chile and Namibia. Conichalcite occurs as a secondary mineral in oxidized copper deposits, as a product of enargite alteration.
