Petals with pearls at the tips of the petals move and open on their own, like a flower meeting the sun. As if the metal came to life on your hand. This ring is a jewelry innovation from Chi Huynh for his company Galatea Jewelry by Artist.
The shape-shifting Blossom Ring is made from Nitinol, a nickel-titanium alloy that retains the memory of its shape and returns to its original state when heated.
This is not the first jewelry innovation by Chi Huyin, a Vietnamese-born jeweler.

Galatea pearls are the only cultured pearl in the world with a lustrous colored stone in the center, hand carved to make the color of the gemstone shine.
Galatea pearls are truly rare, the result of a unique cutting process that begins with a ball of turquoise, opal, or other colored gemstones.
The ball's core is inserted into the oyster and the clam is carefully placed back into the sea, where it will coat the ball in mother-of-pearl (pearl) for 22 months.
Once harvested, these rare cultured pearls are cut by hand. This pearl sculpture allows you to see the color under the mother-of-pearl. Galatea pearls are then inserted into jewelry.
Chi Huyin, creator of Galatea and inventor of the DavinChi collection, says he was inspired by the writings of Leonardo da Vinci when he created this incredible patent-pending colored gemstone piece. “I will always remember the words of da Vinci: “Be a mirror, absorb everything around you and remain yourself.”
