Wrist watch Urwerk UR-120 Spock

Wrist Watch
Urwerk, celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, has released its new model Urwerk UR-120 Spock, offering a new interpretation of its famous satellites. The rectangular blocks now split in two in a V-shape, reminiscent of Spock's greeting from Star Trek (hence the model's nickname).Urwerk UR-120 Spock watchMr. Spock's "V" is the so-called Vulcan salute, a greeting gesture accompanied by the wish "Long life and prosperity!" The salute was invented and popularized by Leonard Nimoy, who played the role of Spock.Spock and the Urwerk clock

After separation, the blocks in the clock rotate around their axis, close, again forming a satellite, and display the next hour. To force the satellites to open simultaneously with the rotation of their component blocks, a special lyre spring was made for the Urwerk UR-120 Spock. The UR-120 also has improved legibility, with the hour markers 35% larger than the UR-110 thanks to the satellite block mechanism.

The movement of the satellites is controlled by the UR-20.01 movement with automatic winding. A window in the case back reveals the Windfänger, a star-shaped detail that regulates the intensity of the caliber's self-winding movement.
