Faubourg Manchette Joaillerie watch by Hermès

Four new Faubourg Manchette Joaillerie watches from Hermès Wrist Watch

At Baselworld, the brand took a fresh look at the familiar design of the Faubourg range, making it even more striking with gemstones.

The elegant Faubourg women's watch by Hermès first appeared in 2014 with a small round dial and a delicate jeweled strap. The following year, the French luxury watch company redesigned the watch, replacing the thin strap with a wide high-quality leather cuff bracelet. The new design is reminiscent of Hermès' experience with saddles and harnesses, which is where Thierry Hermes, the founder of the company, started his business in 1837.

This year, the Faubourg Manchette Joaillerie combines the familiar wide leather strap with a bezel and dial adorned with precious and semi-precious stones. First, the leather craftsman creates the bracelet using a saddle stitch technique, and then sands down the rough edges. Then the contour of the strap is painted and smoothed by heat treatment with a soldering iron. At the end, it is covered with beeswax for water resistance.

The watch bezel is encrusted with 36 baguette-cut gems: emeralds used in watches with a green strap, sapphires different colors - with blue and red-brown, Diamonds - with a classic black strap.

The dials are made of beautiful ornamental stones: green malachite, blue lapis lazuli, tiger eye и black onyx. In those places where the numbers 12, 3, 6 and 9 should be, 4 small diamonds flaunt. The case and strap buckle of the colored models are rose gold, while the black ones are white gold.
