Bvlgari Octo Roma watch is a new chapter in the collection

Wrist Watch

This spring, Bvlgari updated one of its iconic collections, the Octo, which debuted in 2012, combining models with an octagonal case. The company dedicates this geometry to the architectural forms of Rome. In addition, the watch also has details associated with the Swiss watch tradition: the dials of the self-winding model and the chronograph are decorated with the Clous de Paris motif. The new automatic three-hand watch with date and chronograph are equipped with a convenient system for changing the bracelet without additional tools. All new items are water-resistant to 100 meters, which is supported by a crown integrated into the case with an additional protection unit.

The 41mm Octo Roma Automatic is powered by Bvlgari's own BVL 191 movement with a 42-hour power reserve. The model is available in versions with blue, anthracite and white dials. The hands, hour markers and Arabic numerals at 6 and 12 are coated with Super-LumiNova, so reading in the dark shouldn't be a problem.

The new Octo Roma Chronograph is the first timepiece in the collection to feature Bvlgari's own caliber BVL 399. It beats at 28 vph and allows the wearer to appreciate its finish thanks to its transparent case back. Like the crown, the two chronograph pushers are also recessed into the 800mm case.

In addition to watches for every day, the collection includes novelties with complications - four Octo Roma Tourbillon at once: Octo Roma Papillon Tourbillon and Octo Roma Striking Tourbillon Saphir in titanium 44 mm cases, as well as Octo Roma "Precious Naturalia", created using tiger's eye, and women's "Tourbillon Lumière".

The Octo Roma Papillon Tourbillon watch uses an unusual indication system with a central tourbillon and two minute hands. The hours are read through a window at 12 o'clock, and the two minute hands (known as butterfly hands, hence the name Papillon) rotate around the dial every two hours, passing through the semi-circular minute track that occupies the bottom of the dial.

The 44 x 11,9 mm watch is powered by the hand-wound Bvlgari BVL 332 caliber with a 60-hour power reserve.

The Bvlgari Octo Roma Striking Tourbillon Sapphire uses the same case and color scheme as the Papillon, but the dial and movement are completely different. The dial is open and gives the impression that the movement is floating in the air. Neon green hour markers emerge from the center.

Inside is a BVL 206 movement with a tourbillon at 6 o'clock. The hand-wound caliber has a power reserve of 64 hours.

Seen from the dial side, the plate of the BVL 206 movement found in the Octo Roma Precious Naturalia is adorned with a tiger's eye with brown and gold accents, with subtle veins of lighter tones.

Plates only a few tenths of a millimeter thick adorn all the indexes of the watch. Each fragment is unique, therefore, each model is unique. The 44 mm watch case is made of pink gold, and its sides are also decorated with a tiger's eye.

The Octo Roma Precious Tourbillon Lumiere in 38mm is the first women's watch in the Octo Roma collection. The dial is adorned with rose gold lace, which forms the skeletonized BVL 208 tourbillon movement.
