Seiko Astron GPS Solar 2013 Men's Watch

Wrist Watch

The revolutionary Seiko Astron GPS Solar watch was unveiled at BaselWorld 2012. They have been compared to the very first Astrons that launched the quartz revolution. You can't even talk about the popularity of watches with GPS function. Both collectors and simply lovers of technical innovations are not averse to buying a Seiko Astron GPS Solar watch. In 2013, the design of the models was updated, they began to look brighter, but at the same time, they did not lose their functionality.

Seiko Astron GPS Solar became the first in the world sundial with function GPS. They do not require an external power source, using light energy. They connect to the GPS network and display the time with the precision of atomic clocks.

The new limited model Astron GPS Solar 2013 has retained its former dimensions (body diameter 47mm, thickness 16,5mm), but significantly "threw" in weight. Unlike the watches of 2012, the case and bracelet of the novelty are made of lightweight titanium. The bezel, on which the abbreviated names of cities are applied, is made of ceramics.

Every day, the watch is automatically connected to four or more satellites GPS and to adjust the time zone, exact time and date. On Earth there is 39 time zones, and everyone knows the Astron GPS Solar 2013 watch! It takes approx. 6-10 seconds. An important point: to synchronize, be sure to be either on the street or close to the window. So the satellite signals will be clearer.

Counter displaying second time zone in 24-hour format, located at 6 o'clock. Perpetual calendar is the date window at 3 o'clock. retrograde indicator carries several functions at once: displays the battery charging status, enable / disable daylight saving time, the method of receiving a GPS signal. To switch functions, there is a button at the 10 o'clock mark.

The city names on the bezel are connected to the numbers printed on the outer scale on the dial to determine the time in other cities around the world.

Inside the Seiko Astron GPS Solar 2013 watch installed quartz movement caliber 7X52 with automatic or manual satellite time correction.

Manual time and date setting

The watch uses the same battery as in mobile phones, only smaller, more reliable and durable. There is also an energy saving function. Power reserve when the battery is fully charged - 6 months, when the energy saving function is on — 2 year. If there is not enough remaining energy (the indicator hand points to "E" (insufficient energy)), the intervals between the time, date and zone settings will automatically increase. In addition, auto adjustment is not carried out in flight mode.

To increase the readability of the dial, protected by a sapphire glass, at night, the hands and marks are applied luminescent compound LumiBrite.

As we have already said, Astron appeared in 2013 in an updated design: for example, the bracelet is decorated with white ceramic inserts.

The bracelet is equipped folding clasp with locking system, which is designed to protect the watch from accidental unfastening.

You can swim in the watch - water resistance level (up to 100 meters) matches. Reliable durable case and screw-down crown will not allow moisture to penetrate inside.
