Novak Djokovic is a unique phenomenon in the world of tennis. He won his first ATP (Association of Professional Tennis Players - “Major League” of world tennis) tournament in 2006 at the age of 19; two years later, first won the Grand Slam championship; in 2011 he became the first racket in the world; remains at the head of the world ranking, with short interruptions, to this day. There are countless titles and record achievements! The prize money alone is almost $ 150 million!
And besides, Novak is an interesting and versatile person. A citizen of Serbia, the son of a Serb and a Croat, an exemplary family man, a resident of Monte Carlo, a polyglot - fluent in English, French, Italian, German, Slovak ... It seems that he does not speak Japanese yet. But since 2014, he has been the ambassador of the Japanese corporation Seiko, and both parties are proud of this partnership! In particular, the company provides comprehensive assistance to the Novak Djokovic Charitable Foundation, whose goal is to support the primary education system in Serbia. As part of this program, Seiko launches a special line of watches from its budget sub-brand Lorus.

The source of energy for the Seiko 5X53 quartz caliber is a solar battery (and in complete darkness the battery lasts for six months, when using the power saving mode - for 2 years). The built-in GPS receiver automatically detects the time zone, date and exact time. To change the time zone, Novak (and another 1499 happy owners of this model) has only to press a button - this is very valuable given such a tight flight schedule!
The watch recognizes all 39 time zones, that is, not only multiples of an hour, but also those that are shifted by half an hour and even by a quarter of an hour. There is also the possibility of manual adjustment, but whether Djokovic uses it is difficult to say ... Most likely not ... But the user can display the number of GPS satellites at the moment, see the result of the last reception, etc.
There is also a second time zone and an automatic calendar (date, day of the week, month, year), it does not require editing until 28.02.2100. In general, there is everything you need and there is nothing superfluous. And the design of the model is extremely attractive: it perfectly combines the steel of the case (diameter 42,7 mm, water resistance 100 m) and the bracelet, the blue ceramic of the bezel, the sky (or ocean) blue of the dial with gold accents. And in the dark, hands and marks are brightly illuminated with LumiBrite phosphor.
The dial is protected by a convex super-transparent sapphire crystal, the back case is engraved with Novak Djokovic's facsimile signature and an individual copy number. The watch is supplied in a special box, complete with a replaceable silicone strap (replacement is not difficult due to the use of the proprietary Smart Adjuster system).
