Armin Strom Orbit Manufacture Edition

Wrist Watch
The Armin Strom Orbit Manufacture Edition is a new version of the Orbit that features a column-wheel driven date display on the rim. This watch debuted in the brand's collection in March. This time around, they decided to give the look of the watch a sporty dynamism by combining a black dial and rhodium-plated silver bridges. The architecture of the dial is formed by the bridges of the Caliber ASS20 movement, developed on the basis of the Gravity Equal Force caliber, which ran the world's first automatic watch with a constant force device. The Orbit mechanism guarantees a constant and steady supply of energy for 72 hours.

But the main thing here is an unusual date display. In the normal inactive state, the hand freezes at "12" without overlapping the off-centre dial. The button on the left side of the case allows the hand to be activated: the hand instantly moves to the correct date, and then moves forward one step per day at midnight. With another press of the button, the hand returns to its original position, and mechanical memory allows it to return to the correct date when required.

The date can be set using the corrector pusher at 8 o'clock or manually using the crown, adjusting the time as usual. The red tip of the date hand is shaped like the letter A (Armin).
