Van Cleef & Arpels jewelers know how to create not only real masterpieces of high jewelry art, but also unusual beautiful jewelry that can be worn every day. Collection Perlee
Jewelry with gold beads appeared in the Van Cleef & Arpels range more than a hundred years ago, in the wake of interest in Egyptian art. These beads then framed precious stones. Imagine that more than a hundred years ago, these gold beads in the company were made automatically on machines and then manually installed on a piece of jewelry.
In 1948, the jewelers released the Couscous collection dedicated to Morocco, and in the sixties, the Twist collection. In this collection, the beads were made from precious, semi-precious stones, corals. And, of course, the classic Alhambra collection in the form of the famous quatrefoil. In these ornaments, gold beads surrounded clover petals.
New jewelry in the collection of jewelry with gold beads began to appear in 2008. It was pink and white gold. The modern collection has been replenished with jewelry with beads made of semi-precious stones.
Five colored semi-precious stones were used. These are green malachite, red carnelian, blue turquoise, black onyx, brown tiger's eye.
For the modern Perlee collection of the famous house, the jewelers reworked the idea of beads from the history of the House. Now these spheres of various diameters are made of precious metal using the lost wax casting technique. And, of course, as before, they are manually installed on jewelry.
