"Sensual lines" - this is how, erotic and elegant, the name of the new high jewelery collection created by the House of Hermès is translated from French. The lines really turned out to be sensual: the smooth forms of the jewelry repeat the silhouette of the human body and fit tightly to the skin with cold metal. Collar necklaces, cuff bracelets, all-ear cuffs - precious ammunition seems to be trying to cover every millimeter of our body.
Not without a current medical theme: inspiration for some necklace models was a stethoscope - a device that allows you to hear the inner vibrations of a person. Pierre Hardy, creative director of jewelry at Hermès, described this aspect of the collection: “I tried to be as close to the skin as possible, expressing something that happens inside a person through jewelry”.
Each item in the collection is without a doubt a true work of art. That there is only the Contre la Peau mesh necklace, inlaid with 867 diamonds! Also, when creating the line, colored stones in all their variety were used: tourmalines, jade, prenite, pale pink and azure quartz, as well as precious sapphires and topaz.
However, the decorations did not turn out to be colorful and even, on the contrary, the design turned out to be quite graphic, despite all the abundance of details. Perhaps there is something ingenious in this: to create something simple from the complex, but not boring, but dazzling in its brevity.
